This stretch of Highway 125 passes through the countryside between towns. There are not many residential areas or other developments. Occasionally there is a side road I can follow.
Side road images:

Three views of a blue house. This house is on a narrow street by itself, that runs between 125 and another major highway, a rather bare neighborhood.

the entrance to the road, with the blue house in the distance

I am not concerned with a description of Highway 125; where it starts, or ends. I am using the strictly functional photos of Google street view, to slowly examine a segment of a space one would otherwise ignore as one passed through it. The only requirement for the images I find is that they show nothing remarkable, only that which is ordinary .

I am following Highway 125(国道125号). Roadside restaurants, tire stores, car dealers, rice fields, tiled-roof houses that seem from another time and place, buildings sitting by themselves next to plots of vacant land. The side of the highway is about the same everywhere, but with certain distinctive ways of arranging the space.

Path up the slope
on the side of Highway 125.
Since there is a handrail,
it must lead to something,
a shrine, a memorial marker, a park?
(something more than a view of the other side)
but there is no sign saying what that is.
